When to apply by?


September 2012 start date: Applications are being accepted now. Early Acceptances - Applications must be submitted by February 1, 2012 and will be processed after March 15, 2012. Seneca International will continue to accept applications until the programs are full.

January 2013 start date: Applications will be processed after June 1, 2012.

May 2013 start date: Applications will be processed after November 1, 2012.


Please note: Paper-based applications cannot be accepted at Seneca International Admissions. PLEASE apply on-line, where your application will be produced in PDF format with an APPLICATION NUMBER assigned to you.

What you need to apply?
Please ensure that you have the following:
  1. $65 non-refundable application fee
    Payable by credit card, international money order. Detailed payment information is displayed on the application form.

    *NEW* International Payments to Seneca College Just Got Easier!
    The most efficient means for an International student who is not in Canada to pay student fees is through Travelex's Bank-to-Bank Transfer. This option allows you to pay the Canadian dollar student fees in the currency of your choice and provides you with a simple and secure way of initiating a payment electronically. For more information and a link to Travelex, please see email response which follows the submission of your online application.

  2. Your academic record
    Must be translated into ENGLISH.
    For High School Graduates:
    - Grade 10, 11, 12 Original or Certified copies of your original High School Transcripts - final 3 years of your high school education.
    - Copy of your High School Diploma or Certificate of Completion.
    For Graduate Programs:
    - University/College transcripts showing your academics for 3+ years.
    - Resume (if applicable).
    - Original or Certified copies of your original High School Transcripts.
    - Copy of your High School Diploma and University/College Diploma


  3. Proof of ESL (Academic IELTS / TOEFL)
    - if you do not plan to take the English Language preparatory program (ELI), proof of ESL proficiency is mandatory. Academic IELTS/TOEFL must be provided. See list of countries exempt from ESL/IELTS/TOEFL by clicking here.

    * DIPLOMA :
    - Seneca College minimum score:
    - IELTS 5.5* and no individual score less than 5.0*.
    - 550 TOEFL (paper based) / 80 TOEFL (computer based) with a minimum score of 20 in Writing, Reading, Listening & Speaking. (Please supply username and password on TOEFL scores for verification purposes).

    IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR SEPTEMBER 2012 APPLICATIONS:
    *Effective Sept.2012, the IELTS requirement will be 6.0 for Diploma programs . Students applying for admissions effective September 2012, or who have their admissions deferred from Jan/May 2012 to Sept. 2012 will be required to have an IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual score less than 5.5.



    * DEGREE:
    - Seneca College minimum score:
    - IELTS is 6.5 and no individual score less than 6.0
    - 570 TOEFL (paper based) / 84 TOEFL (computer based) with a minimum score of 21 in Writing, Reading, Listening & Speaking. (Please supply username and password on TOEFL score for verification purposes)



    * GRADUATE PROGRAMS:
    - Seneca College minimum score:

    - IELTS 6.5 and no individual score less than 6.0
    - 580 TOEFL (paper based) / 88 TOEFL (computer based) with a minimum score of 22 in Writing, Reading, Listening & Speaking (Please supply username and password on TOEFL scores for verification purposes).

    The Academic IELTS/TOEFL scores listed above, reflect the MINIMUM requirement of Seneca College. Candidate selection for any program at Seneca, may require higher than minimum scores to be granted acceptance.

How to apply?
(please read the whole section before applying)
  1. Click on the Register Button at the bottom of this page or Click on International Application *NEW* button at the left side column.

  2. Fill out all the required fields (marked with a *). If you leave any of the required fields blank, the system will give you an error message when you attempt to submit your application.

  3. When you fill out the form, click Submit button. If there are no errors on the page, you will see a summary of your application and you will be asked to confirm the information you submitted.

  4. Click Confirm. The next display will contain your Confirmation Number. You will be asked to PRINT your application. Please make sure you quote this number whenever you contact the College.

  5. Print and sign one copy of your application and attach your academic records, IELTS score (if required), and proof of non-refundable application fee payment. A COMPLETED application contains ALL required documents (as stated above) PLUS a copy of your passport picture and signature. You can mail or courier this COMPLETED application to us at:

PLEASE NOTE: Only fully completed applications will be processed by Seneca's International Admissions Department. It is the sole responsibility of the student and/or the authorized Seneca Educational Consultant to send us fully completed applications. Due to the increased volume of applications received, International Admissions is temporarily suspending acceptance of scanned documents via e-mail. Please send your documents by COURIER preferrably, or mail.
